Welcome to Adderley CE Primary School
Executive Headteacher's welcome to Adderley Church of England Primary School and Nursery
We are a small, vibrant and welcoming village school situated in the beautiful rural setting of Adderley, near Market Drayton, Shropshire.
Our Victorian school building, dating back to 1858, is set within large grounds; grounds which include access to our own extensive on-site forest, meaning all children learn and explore both inside and outside the classroom! Internally our school facilitates learning through the provision of stimulating classroom environments which include access for all our pupils to a range of ICT and a school library.
We are extremely proud of our status as a Church of England Primary School and of our links with the Diocese of Lichfield and local Church St. Peter's.
Our engaing and context driven Currilcum is our strength here at Adderley. It ensures our pupils secure understanding progressively throughout their time here; building a bank of knowledge and skills as they journey through their education. Our curriculum promotes our children to question, demonstrate curiosity and make connections with prior learning and their wider context; equpping them with skills which will serve them well both now and into adulthood.
We hold close to our heart the strong ethos that each and every day we aspire to be the best versions of oursleves that we can be. This in turn ensures that we, as individuals, demonstate the characterisitcs as set out in our school vision and of those as demonstated by the 'Good Samaritan'; our school's guiding parable.
We are a school which is ambitious and aims high academically whilst teaching all those within to act with love and compassion always and to demonstrate respect to all.Through these means we aspire and support all within our community to become global citizens, courageous advocates for all and people of wisdom and integrity.
We look forward to warmly welcoming you to our school.
