Welcome to Adderley CE Primary School
Welcome and thank you for visiting our website. We hope it gives you a flavour of what goes on in our happy, vibrant school, but we urge you to come and see for yourself! You are most welcome any time to book an appointment for a personal tour where either myself or one of my staff will be happy to show you around.
We are a small village primary, with a strong sense of family, situated in the beautiful rural setting of Adderley, near Market Drayton, Shropshire. Our attractive Victorian building dates back to 1858. It has been maintained to a good standard in keeping with the surroundings which include our own extensive on-site forest, allowing our children the opportunity to learn and explore both inside and outside the classroom. Although our building may be Victorian, our facilities are modern and include interactive blackboards in every classroom, superfast broadband and wireless connectivity throughout the school.
We have a very caring ethos and a warm and friendly approach and our school is small enough so that we get to know all the children and parents. Your child will be very well cared for in our school.
Our children are supported by dedicated staff, governors and parents. Do come and see our happy, thriving school in action for yourself.
We are very proud of the comments made in our OfSTED inspection report in September 2018:
"...the ethos and values of the school.... are underpinned by the school’s strong sense of community."
"Pupils are polite and respectful; they take great pride in their school. Pupils behave well in lessons and when moving around school. They show great care for one another. Attitudes to learning in lessons observed during the inspection were very positive. Pupils are proud of their work and are keen to succeed."
"This is a nurturing school community where pupils support and care for each other."
Our website is very comprehensive and we hope that you find it informative. If you are a prospective parent and you would like further information or any paper copies of documents available, please contact the school.
My staff and I look forward to warmly welcoming you.
