Fun and Games Council 2022-2023

The Fun and Games Council are a group of passionate children from across the school. We aim to support charities by running run raising events and days. We would like to support both national and local charities.

WHY DO WE SUPPORT CHARITIES? Right now, more people than ever are facing the toughest times of their lives. This means that charity is more important than ever – but it is also harder than ever for people to find spare money to give. We recognise that we can give other things not just money; time, support and kindness can make a huge difference to people’s lives.

As part of our Harvest festival the Fun and Games Council helped organised a collection for our local foodbank as well as taking parts in food labelling activities run by a local volunteer.

Children in Need Pudsey Face.png Children in Need – Friday 18th November

We had great fun fundraising for Children in Need. With a focus on well-being, the school took part in mood boosters activities and assemblies. The Fun and Games Council ran a colouring competition at lunchtime where children from both classes designed different Pudsey bears. They awarded a prize for each class.

The Fun and Games Council also baked cakes which they sold during their Friendly Friday take over.

The Fun and Games Council organised activities, competitions and quizzes to help raise money for Comic Relief. They ran a hero colouring in competition, dance off and whole school quiz.

During worship we learnt about some of the amazing work that Comic Relief charities do across the world to help those who need it most.
