Week beginning 29.11.21
Date: 7th Dec 2021 @ 4:16pm
Well it's definitely beginning to look alot like Christmas and the children have been really excited about getting started with all our usual festive activities.
The children have been working extremely hard on their Christmas performance and the show is really beginning to take shape. We can't wait to share it with you!
Please note the school Christmas Post Box will be open from Monday, for the children to post Christmas cards to their friends.
Oak Class have had a really busy couple of weeks. At the end of last week, the children took part in a Science day, based around owls. The children researched Owls, finding out more about what they eat, their habitatss and special features. Children created some beautiful information texts to show present their new knowledge.
In the afternoon, we then dissected owl pellets. Using bone charts, children were able to identify what the owls had been eating. The children absolutely loved these activities and showed great scientific enquiry skills.
This week, Eco Council have decorated the school Christmas tree. We have been really lucky to be gifted a beautiful Christmas tree from Hales Sawmill Market Drayton. A special thank you to Mrs Grant Talbot for aquiring this special gift for the children. Eco Council are also planning on making 'A Birds Christmas Dinner', bird feeders for Carols Round the Campfire.
Children on the Worship Council are busy planning to deliver their first worship to the school. The team decided on the theme of Christingles and have started to research songs and hymns that would work well.
This worship will tie is nicely with the school Christingle service on Tuesday 14th December, led by Rev Gary.
